Why Are Open Spaces Important?

Open spaces provide the signature Sonoran Desert look to Phoenix. These areas of land are largely preserved in their natural state. Due to rapid population growth, our open spaces are under more pressure than ever from developments to misuse. The Central Arizona Conservation Alliance is an integrated group of partners that work to connect people and the environment to protect our open spaces for future generations.
