Event Description
Help us find and map the top noxious weeds (invasive plant species) of concern for Central Arizona region. These invasive plants have spread aggressively both in urban and open spaces during the last few years. Check out our quick step guide on how to join the Desert Defenders iNaturalist project.
Priority Species:
Stinknet (Oncosiphon pilulifer), Fountain grass (Cenchrus setaceum), Buffelgrass (Cenchrus ciliare), Tamarisk/Salt Cedar (Tamarix spp.), Sahara Mustard (Brassica tournefortii), London Rocket (Sisymbrium irio), Common Sow Thistle (Sonchus oleraceus) and Malta Star Thistle (Centaurea melitensis).
