Come explore the world beyond your everyday realm. Star Parties are out of this world! The Superstition Mountain Astronomical League provides telescopic views of the moon, planets, star clusters, and galaxies during this informal, come and go at your own pace program. There are no chairs and visitors park in an adjacent parking lot as telescopes will occupy the Cholla site for walk-through viewing.
To ensure a smooth and spectacular experience, visitors and visitation times will be limited. Registration cost is $5 per participant – as long as everyone in a single car is registered for the event, there will not be an additional car fee. Register up to a day before the event; no walk-ups. Registrants have a 30-minute window to arrive – only 15 minutes before or after the start of their selected time slot. (Example, if your slot is 7:30-8:15p, you will only be allowed entry 7:15-7:45p). Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late arrivals. Please plan accordingly. No pets nor personal telescopes please. Gate closes promptly after the program. Event is weather permitting. In the case of cancelation, you will be notified via email, and your fees will be refunded within a few days. Please allow a week or so for the refund to appear on your bank notes.
