Full Moon Event with Just Roughin’ It

Event Description

Join Just Roughin’ It for an evening of good eats from your favorite local food trucks, a native desert landscaping workshop from the Central Arizona Conservation Alliance (CAZCA), local outdoor vendors, and a full moon hike in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve! Here is what we’ve got going on so far and more details coming soon!

6-9pm – Food Trucks and Vendors

7:30-9:30pm – Full Moon Hike in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve – keep reading below for important details if you are choosing to participate in the hike.

Come out and celebrate the end of summer with all your friends and neighbors in the Sheaborhood.

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THE HIKE!!

Our hikes are about 3-4 miles in length with a hiking time of about 1.5 -2 hours. We try to keep all hikes at about moderate in difficulty with no more that 600 ft change in elevation.

We will let you know what hike we are doing the day of the hike when you meet us at the store. We like mystery and intrigue:)

For the Hike – please bring ample water – at least 1 liter, trail snacks, a headlamp or flashlight of 250 lumens or more (the flashlight on your phone IS NOT sufficient) and appropriate clothing for the weather. Plus, please wear broken in and proper footwear for rugged trails. You will be required to sign a waiver to participate before we start the hike.

7:15 pm – Meet at Just Roughin’ It at 10880 N 32nd St in Phoenix. We will disclose the trailhead plus is a great place to find some people to carpool with. If you forgot something for the hike, you can purchase from the store before we head out.

7:30 pm – We all drive to the trailhead. It is best to carpool if possible as some trailheads are small (and we need to park where there is no gate).

9:30 pm – We should be finished with the hike. Give some high fives, say your goodbyes and don’t forget to get a ride back to your vehicle.

This event is free but tips will be greatly appreciated.
