Field Maps Training Session
Event Description
Part of the Desert Defenders initiative, join Friends of the Tonto as they work with Tonto National Forest and neighboring communities to identify, map and remove non-native plants.
In this training session you’ll learn how to use the free Esri Field Maps application to collect data on non-native plants. After a short orientation and safety review, you will hike into a major wash where you will observe and map fountain grass and buffelgrass. Help us protect our natural areas from this wildfire risk! Contact Don at Friends of the Tonto for more information.
