In this EcoQuestions session we hear from Chef Maria Parra Cano of Sana Sana Foods.
Maria is a classically trained cook who was born and raised in Barrio Garfield in Phoenix. She believes that ancestral plants and food medicine were key to her healing after multiple high risk pregnancies, and Sana Sana is focused on increasing accessibility to good, wholesome food within the community. Maria is involved in multiple community efforts, is currently working on a cookbook and was recently featured on CNN’s The Human Factor.
