Incorporating Native Plants into your Landscape
Event Description
Join us for an exciting webinar with City of Glendale’s Anne Stahley on how to lower your water bill and conserve the desert by incorporating Sonoran Desert native plants into your yard!
Anne has been a Water Conservation Specialist with the City of Glendale Water Services Department’s Conservation & Sustainable Living Division for 11 years. She earned the DBG’s Desert Landscape School credential in 2020. She has Smartscape training in Irrigation, Advanced Irrigation, and Urban Forest Management. She recently became certified in ALCA’s Sustainable Landscape Management and an ISA Certified Arborist.
Anne provides water conservation support to Glendale’s non-residential customers such as HOAs, schools, churches, and businesses. She coordinates Glendale’s Green Living Series – a waterwise gardening and landscape education program for adults. She also works alongside landscape contractors and community volunteers to maintain the award-winning Glendale Xeriscape (low-water-use) Demonstration Garden.
