Event Description
Join us for an engaging discussion with Tricia Balluff, Environmental Programs Manager with the Office of Environmental Programs at the City of Phoenix as she shares some of the ways Phoenix is seeking to embrace nature as part of urban living. From riparian restoration to pollinator initiatives and the beneficial use of stormwater, Tricia will share lessons learned, what’s up next for Phoenix, benefits of expanding urban nature in our own backyards, and why biodiversity is so important in a time of changing climate and increased urban heat. From butterflies to birds to us, urban nature helps all of us survive and thrive.
